Q: HOW MUCH HAIR DO I NEED?
A: We recommend buying up to 3 bundles for lengths 10” to 14”. We recommend 3-4 bundles for lengths 16″or longer. (some people like to add 4 bundles for a look that’s very full and thick). We know some of you like to shop extensions in ounces. Each bundle is approx 3.5 oz (industry standard). One general rule of thumb relative to hair extensions is: “The longer the length of the hair, the shorter the weft, thus the thinner the bundle.” However, purchases are solely at the discretion of the buyer. For specific questions regarding how much hair is necessary for a desired hairstyle, please consult with a professional stylist.
Q: CAN I COLOR THIS HAIR?
A: Yes! Our hair should be processed in the same manner you would dye or highlight your natural hair. Be sure to keep colored hair conditioned and moisturized! For the best long lasting results, we HIGHLY recommend having a professional colorist do the color or highlights for you.
Q: HOW LONG DOES THE HAIR LAST?
A: The life span of your extensions truly depends upon how well you take care of them. With proper care, we recommend re-use and re-install for up to 2 years! Our hair can last even longer than that!
Q: ARE YOUR EXTENSIONS 100% HUMAN HAIR… AND WHAT IS THE QUALITY?
A: Yes! Our extensions are 100% Virgin Human Hair! NO cheap mix in’s & NO animal hair or synthetic fillers! Our bundles are the industry standard weight at approx. 3.5 ounces. All of our hair is Virgin & Remy, which means it hasn’t been chemically processed (Virgin) AND all of the cuticles are facing the same direction (Remy). Virgin and Remy together is called Cuticle Aligned. This is type of hair is TOP QUALITY and is HIGHLY resistant to tangling, and matting and is super soft and manageable! Hair that is Cuticle Aligned is HIGHER than the current industry standard, which is why the hair you’ve bought from other companies looks great at first, then starts to reveal its true nature by matting and tangling after about a week or so. NOT WITH XTENSIONSPA HAIR! It is soft, manageable, and luxurious from the moment you install, to the moment you decide to switch textures. (That’s the only reason you’d ever want to take it off!)
We get our gorgeous textures by using a very special process where after we thoroughly cleanse the hair, we wrap it in bamboo and gently steam it. We DO NOT use perming or other chemical processes, which is why our hair carries no unpleasant odor. This method is done by hand, and it naturally softens the hair and leaves no knits behind. All of our wefts are also double stitched, giving you a strong foundation for the hair, that will last throughout the years with minimal if any tangling or matting (as long as you properly care for them!)

Q: WHAT ABOUT SHEDDING?
A: Let’s talk about it!
XtensionSpa hair wefts are made with care! We know extensions are an investment, so lets talk about how they’re made and what you can expect as far as shedding goes! In order to create a bundle the hair is CUT from a donor, and the loose hair is fully cleansed. Only top quality strands are chosen, separated, then hand guided by a skilled artisan through the wefting machine. It’s possible that during this process, the machine may not catch each of the hairs going in. So XtensionSpa hair is DOUBLE STITCHED (unlike some cheap brands that single stitch, leaving you with heavy shedding). With our hair you may see a few strands release. You’ll likely see this after your first wash, but you shouldn’t lose more than that… Especially if you’re properly caring for your extensions!
Not to worry though! Minimal shedding (a few strands) is normal…just like your natural hair! Where you may see more shedding is if you pierce your wefts with the needle when you’re either doing a sew-in or making a wig (we suggest sewing UNDER the weft to prevent this type of shedding) and you may see shedding if you’re cutting the wefts when you’re measuring for size. You can do the “fold over method” which keeps the entire weft intact, or you can seal your wefts with a weft sealer before cutting them to help prevent shed. You may also notice hair breakage (not the same as weft shedding, but just an extra precaution) if you use heavy heat and alcohol based products together which will dry out ANY extensions, no matter the quality. How do you spot the difference? With breakage, the fallen hair will usually be different sizes. Shedding will usually be the full length of the installed strand and or fall out in clumps while matted. Remember, dryness is the enemy of hair, whether its natural or extended. Please be sure to keep your extensions conditioned and moisturized to prolong their lifespan AND your investment!
Q: CAN I USE STYLING PRODUCTS or HEAT ON MY EXTENSIONS?
A: Yes you can use styling products and heat on your extensions! We recommend that you keep products to a minimum to avoid build up. We strongly suggest AVOIDING alcohol based products, as they can dry your extensions out and shorten the longevity. Don’t over do the heat! We highly suggest using a heat protector before using any hot tools to prolong the life of your extensions, and to prevent heat damage.
Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY EXTENSIONS AFTER ORDERING?
A: Most orders will ship the same day if ordered before 3 P.M. EST, granted the requested items are in stock. Occasionally, we will receive a high volume of orders and cannot process and ship them all on the same day. In this case, orders are shipped the following business day. Priority Shipping (1 – 3 Days) & Express Shipping (1 – 2 Days) options are available. After your order has shipped you will receive detailed tracking information. Shipping with signature required is also an option. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND SIGNATURE REQUIRED shipping if you live in an area where your packages are visible to the public, ie, your porch or in certain apartment settings. Q: WHAT IF I PLACE MY ORDER ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY?
A: Orders placed outside of our business hours will be processed and shipped on the following business day in the order in which they were received. We are closed on holidays and do not ship. If you order on a holiday, or in some cases the day before or after, we will ship orders on the next business day, so please plan accordingly for your items to be shipped and received before a holiday. Our business hours are from 9am-6pm EST Mon-Fri.
Q: MAY I RETURN MY EXTENSIONS?
A: We have a money back guarantee return policy. If you are not satisfied with your extensions once you receive them you may return them to us for your money back. Please refer to our terms and conditions for specific details regarding returns.

Q: MAY I EXCHANGE MY EXTENSIONS?
