Hello Beauties!!! Let’s talk about tape in extensions, and how to safely remove them yourself WITHOUT losing your real hair in the process!!
Tape-ins are a great way to easily add length and fullness without the bulk of a wig, or the daily removal of clip- ins. They work great on fine hair, and are pretty much hassle free once they’re installed… of course until it’s time to remove them, right?
Stop pulling your hair out trying to remove these! There is a simple way to save your natural hair AND your tape-ins for next time with these 3 simple steps!!

Fine toothed comb
Sulfate free shampoo and conditioner
Don’t pull! Part your hair where the extensions are, and gently peel the EDGE of the top tape away. Don’t peel it too much, just separate the tiniest bit. Spray or drip your professional remover onto the sticky part of the tape, and let sit for at least 10 seconds. Peel away when the tape becomes loosened.
Softly comb through the area to remove any excess residue. If the comb gets stuck, DO NOT FORCE IT THROUGH!! Spray a little more remover on the area, work through with your fingers, and move on to the next section, then come back and comb through after letting the remover sit. Place your tapes securely together and put them in a zip bag.
After you’ve removed all of your extensions, gently shampoo your hair, and deep condition according to your hair type. It’s also a great time to shampoo and condition your tape-ins as well so that they’ll be fresh for next time!! Need fresh tape-ins or want to switch up your color for your next install? Until next time gorgeous! Xoxo
